What are the main purposes of the SFDA Cosmetics programme?

  • To ensure the safety and compliance of the products before importing to KSA.
  • The establishment of a global database to notify about all local imported cosmetics products.
  • A clearance authorization of the imported cosmetics products.

Process Flow

  • Importer adds Product information on the Ghad Platform for obtaining PCoC.
  • Importer selects Certification Body (CB) such as Fahss for issuance of PCoC.
  • Payment of PCoC Fees. (Government + CB).
  • Fahss facilitates the Product Conformity Assessment Process and liaises with the exporter/manufacturer for submission of all substantiating documents.
  • Evaluation of the documents against the requirements in Technical Regulations and Standards.
  • Performing Inspection on the shipment.
  • PCoC will be issued in Faseh portal.
