What are the main purposes of the SFDA Cosmetics programme?
- To ensure the safety and compliance of the products before importing to KSA.
- The establishment of a global database to notify about all local imported cosmetics products.
- A clearance authorization of the imported cosmetics products.
Process Flow
- Importer adds Product information on the Ghad Platform for obtaining PCoC.
- Importer selects Certification Body (CB) such as Fahss for issuance of PCoC.
- Payment of PCoC Fees. (Government + CB).
- Fahss facilitates the Product Conformity Assessment Process and liaises with the exporter/manufacturer for submission of all substantiating documents.
- Evaluation of the documents against the requirements in Technical Regulations and Standards.
- Performing Inspection on the shipment.
- PCoC will be issued in Faseh portal.
